REGISTRATION FOR CLASSES CAN BE DONE IN PERSON WITH CASH OR CREDIT CARD, OR OVER THE PHONE WITH MASTER CARD OR VISA. SAMPLES OF ALL CLASSES ARE ON DISPLAY AT THE STORE. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLASS UNLESS THE CLASS FILLS.

INTRO TO GLASS BEADMAKING: Learn the art of making glass beads from Milwaukee's only nationally exhibiting lampwork glass Artist, ROBERT JENNIK. Robert has over 13 years of hot glass experience with Moretti glass and has taught at the Bead & Button Show. Enjoy the quiet, meditative experience of melting glass with the Minor Bench Burner torch, using oxygen and propane, while you create lampwork beads of your own.

CABOCHON WORKSHOP: Explore the world of beading with cabochons in this extensive 3 week course. Bezel set and embellish mounted cabochons into a stunning brooch or pendant. Combine seed beads with Vintage glass cabs, semi-precious stone cabs or both.
This class will inspire both the beginner and advanced beader. FEE: $60.00

HANDKERCHIEF LACE: Dainty and sweet this vintage inspired bracelet is a must have accessory. Using an altered form of right angle weave, students will learn how to create interlocking picots. FEE: $20.00

THE TREES THROUGH THE FOREST: A little beadweaving, a little stringing and Viola!, you’ve created a very fashion forward accessory. Using a blended variety of beads, students will construct a multi strand cuff bracelet. This is a great way to use up all of those odds and ends that you have lying around. FEE: $20.00

CHANGE A CHAIN: Chain, Chain, Chain!!! It’s all the fashion rage. Here’s your chance to make a unique necklace or bracelet beginning with a chain. Learn basic wirework skills to combine wire, chain, and beads. Basic wire loops, single and double wraps, spirals and the use of headpins will be covered. FEE: $20.00

VIKING KNIT 101: Viking knit is a woven wire technique that pre dates conventional knitting. Students will create a flexible tube of silver and then turn it into a stunning bracelet. Finishing techniques will be demonstrated and various embellishment ideas will be discussed. FEE: $35.00

CABOCHON STUDIO: Have you taken the cabochon workshop and need some help getting pieces finished or do you just need a little creative jump start? This is the studio for you! INTERMEDIATE GLASS BEADMAKING: In this 5 hour class lead by ROBERT JENNIK, students will begin class by making twisted stringers. Clear cased beads will be the focus and various methods for clear casing will be shown. Ribbon cane construction will also be demonstrated. Prerequisite: Intro to glass beadmaking.

LARIAT NECKLACE STRINGING: You won’t get tied in knots with this class. Combine an assortment of different size and shape beads to make this versatile lariat. Wear your creative hat and experiment with different colors and textures to design a unique necklace. Students will learn basic stringing along with wrapped loops in this techniques packed class. BEZEL SETTING WITH BEADS: Learn this hot technique from an instructor with over 25 years of teaching expertise in the art of beadweaving. Students will learn everything required to bezel set a variety of shapes and sizes of Swarovski® stones. This is a great class whether you’re just starting out in this technique or if you’ve already beaded with Rivolis. The instructor provides 12 different patterns for a variety of Swarovski® stones, as well as instructions allowing you to branch out and bezel set just about anything. Several embellishment options will also be covered. Numerous finished examples of bezel set items will be on display during the class. FEE: $45.00
