WE OFFER CLASSES IN THE ARTWORK OF BEADING. THE INSTRUCTORS AT KNOT JUST BEADS HAVE A COMBINED TEACHING EXPERIENCE OF OVER 40 YEARS. WE ARE DEDICATED TO THE ART OF BEADWORK AS WELL AS THE KNOWLEDGE OF TECHNIQUES USED. OUR INSTRUCTORS WILL USE THEIR EXPERTISE TO LEAD YOU THROUGH AN EXPLORATION OF BEADWORK THAT IS UNPARALLELED. YOU WILL LEAVE CLASS NOT ONLY WITH THE UNDERSTANDING OF HOW A TECHNIQUE PERTAINS TO THE PROJECT AT HAND, BUT YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO TAKE THAT TECHNIQUE AND CREATE YOUR OWN WONDERFUL BEADED OBJECTS OF ART.

GLASS BEADMAKING CLASSES by ROBERT JENNIK

INTRO TO GLASS BEADMAKING: Learn the art of making glass beads from Milwaukee's only nationally exhibiting lampwork glass Artist, ROBERT JENNIK. Robert has over 14 years of hot glass experience with Moretti glass and has taught at the Bead & Button Show. Enjoy the quiet, meditative experience of melting glass with the Minor Bench Burner torch, while you create lampwork beads of your own.
Limit 2 students. Class fee includes supplies. FEE: $80.00

ALREADY TAKEN A CLASS FROM ROBERT?: If you’ve already taken the Intro class and just want to get in some practice time or additional instruction time you can schedule individual class time. Classes can be scheduled at $25.00/ hour with a 2 hour minimum, Thursdays - Sundays, schedule permitting.

CRYSTAL FLOWERS:

POLKA DOTS ON PARADE:
Using basic beadweaving skills, students will turn ordinary beads into a luscious woven bracelet. Once the skills to create this bracelet are mastered students will be able to weave additional “one of a kind” bracelets or even necklaces.

MULTI-STRAND MEDLEY:
It’s time to take your basic bead stringing to the next level. Learn to make a multi-strand bracelet using cones to finish it off. This class blends stringing with beginning wirework.

BEADED KUMIHIMO:
Students will unravel the mysteries behind this addicting technique. Using basic Kumihimo techniques you will create a bangle style bracelet completely braided with beads. Once you master this technique the possibilities are endless.

JEWELS ON THE TILES:
The geometric simplicity of this bracelet is both beautiful and elegant. The “tiles” make a perfect background for our KJB vintage rose montees. Students will also learn how to create a clasp that matches the design of the bracelet. FEE: $25.00

Students will combine a beadwoven base and embellishment of assorted beads to create this bountiful bracelet. Decorative edging will give it a special touch. Finish it off with a button clasp that looks like another embellishment for this bracelet of treasures.

DESERT JEWEL: Students will capture a row of jewels down the center of this lovely woven bracelet. Learn how to manipulate herringbone stitch while weaving a versatile band style bracelet. Whether you’ve woven with herringbone or not, you’ll love the tremendous possibilities that this class will bring.

Now is a great time to get started on Holiday accessories and gift giving. This is the perfect necklace to brighten all of our Wisconsin winter months. Combine stitching and stringing skills with crystals and seed beads to create your own “Winter Wonderland”.

RATTLE YOUR CAGE:
Rattles have a history with Peoples around the world, almost as ancient as beads. This class will introduce students to rawhide as a working material. Matched pieces of rawhide will be stitched into a 3-D rattle. All aspects of the rattle construction will be demonstrated in class, however this project will not be completed in class. Class fee includes supplies.

EARRING-OLOGY:
Learn about the various earring components that are available on the market. Students will then create 3 stunning pair of earrings using 3 different techniques. Using the techniques learned in class and your imagination, you will be able to design and make many more earrings for yourself or to give as gifts. Class fee includes supplies.

THE "FINE PRINT"

1) All class fees are due in full at the time of registration, and are non-refundable, and non-transferable. Registration may be done in person with cash, Master Card, Visa or Discover. Or by phone using Master card or Visa. Due to the popularity of our classes we are unable to hold any spaces without payment of class fee. Deadline to register for any of the classes is 3 days prior to the start of that class. However, we advise that you register early as classes fill quickly. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified within 1 day of the start of the class and a full refund will be mailed to you.

2) Classes are for adults only, knot just beads® defines an adult as any person 18 years of age or older.

3) A minimum of 3 students is required to hold any class.

4)Class fees do not include supplies unless otherwise noted. Supply lists will be given upon registration of class.

5) Should you register for a class that requires a prerequisite and you do not meet that prerequisite you will be removed from the class and forfeit your class fee.

6)All classes start promptly at times stated. PLEASE be courteous to fellow class members by being on time. If you are more than 5 minutes late for a class you will not be allowed into the class and you will forfeit your class fee.

7) Not all projects will be completed in class.

8) All written material given in the class is copywritten and thereby protected by copyright laws.

9) Should you miss a class, any class materials and/or supplies will be held for you for 30 days from the date of the class. Materials and/or supplies can be picked up at Knot Just Beads during regular store hours.
