WE OFFER CLASSES IN THE ARTWORK OF BEADING. THE INSTRUCTORS AT KNOT JUST BEADS HAVE A COMBINED TEACHING EXPERIENCE OF OVER 40 YEARS. WE ARE DEDICATED TO THE ART OF BEADWORK AS WELL AS THE KNOWLEDGE OF TECHNIQUES USED. OUR INSTRUCTORS WILL USE THEIR EXPERTISE TO LEAD YOU THROUGH AN EXPLORATION OF BEADWORK THAT IS UNPARALLELED. YOU WILL LEAVE CLASS NOT ONLY WITH THE UNDERSTANDING OF HOW A TECHNIQUE PERTAINS TO THE PROJECT AT HAND, BUT YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO TAKE THAT TECHNIQUE AND CREATE YOUR OWN WONDERFUL BEADED OBJECTS OF ART.

INTRO TO GLASS BEADMAKING: Learn the art of making glass beads from Milwaukee's only nationally exhibiting lampwork glass Artist, ROBERT JENNIK. Robert has over 14 years of hot glass experience with Moretti glass and has taught at the Bead & Button Show. Enjoy the quiet, meditative experience of melting glass with the Minor Bench Burner torch, while you create lampwork beads of your own.

Using basic beadweaving skills, students will turn ordinary beads into a luscious woven bracelet. Once the skills to create this bracelet are mastered students will be able to weave additional “one of a kind” bracelets or even necklaces.

It’s time to take your basic bead stringing to the next level. Learn to make a multi-strand bracelet using cones to finish it off. This class blends stringing with beginning wirework.

Students will unravel the mysteries behind this addicting technique. Using basic Kumihimo techniques you will create a bangle style bracelet completely braided with beads. Once you master this technique the possibilities are endless.

JEWELS ON THE TILES:
The geometric simplicity of this bracelet is both beautiful and elegant. The “tiles” make a perfect background for our KJB vintage rose montees. Students will also learn how to create a clasp that matches the design of the bracelet. FEE: $25.00

RATTLE YOUR CAGE:
Rattles have a history with Peoples around the world, almost as ancient as beads. This class will introduce students to rawhide as a working material. Matched pieces of rawhide will be stitched into a 3-D rattle. All aspects of the rattle construction will be demonstrated in class, however this project will not be completed in class. Class fee includes supplies.

Learn about the various earring components that are available on the market. Students will then create 3 stunning pair of earrings using 3 different techniques.
